The Inclusive Organisation of the Future

The Inclusive Organisation of the Future

A project from FAIR SHARE and emcra – Co-Shaping Europe

About the project

With The Inclusive Organisation of the Future (2024–2027), FAIR SHARE and emcra – Co-shaping Europe are supporting civil society organisations in Germany to strengthen gender justice, inclusion and feminist organisational culture.
Across three years, twelve organisations are taking part in a collective learning journey: developing their own strategies for change while also shaping, together, a shared vision of what an inclusive, future-ready organisation can look like in our sector. Through this process they become frontrunners—modelling more equitable, transparent and care-centred ways of working

Note: This is a Germany-based project. Most materials, updates and tools are currently available in German. More detailed information can be found on FAIR SHARE’s German website.

Our approach brings together elements of Feminist Leadership and INCLUDE (Inclusive Leadership in the Digital Age). Working across four interconnected levels—leadership, teams, organisational processes and overall structures—we accompany organisations in building long-term, values-aligned and participatory organisational development processes.

Who is delivering this project?

The project is implemented as part of the “Wandel der Arbeit” programme, in partnership between FAIR SHARE of Women Leaders and emcra – Co-shaping Europe.

About the “Wandel der Arbeit” programme

The world of work is changing rapidly: demographic shifts, digital transformation and the ecological transition are reshaping how organisations operate. Yet many workplaces still lack the structures needed to ensure genuine gender equality, diversity and participation.

The ESF social partner programme „Wandel der Arbeit sozialpartnerschaftlich gestalten: weiter bilden und Gleichstellung fördern“ (“Shaping the transformation of work: training and promoting equality through social partnership”) addresses this gap. Together with the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (BMAS), the Confederation of German Employers’ Associations (BDA) and the German Trade Union Confederation (DGB), it supports organisations in building fairer and more inclusive working environments.
It is funded by the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+) and the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs.
